Check out the list below to help you get started on your relaxing adventure!

  1. Paddle-board on one of the Yukons many beautiful lakes!

There is nothing more relaxing than taking in the Yukon’s beautiful scenery while floating in the middle of a lake. With the sun beating down and cool water enveloping your toes, you’ll find it hard to paddle back to shore. We suggest trying to catch the sunset while you are out there, but just remember travelling during the summer months, means the sun may not come out until after 11. Welcome to the land of the midnight sun! We recommend paddling out to Emerald or Marsh Lake.

2. Go for a Scenic Drive through the Yukon Wilderness

The Yukon is home to a wide range of breathtaking views. From towering mountains to cobalt blue lakes and and all the wildlife in between. You might want to have your camera in hand and stereo turned up as you adventure through it all. Taking a day trip to drive through the Yukon is a simple and effective way to experience all that the wilderness has to offer from the comfort of your front jeep seat.

3. Brush up on your favorite tunes around a Campfire

There is nothing more relaxing than sitting around the campfire with friends, reminiscing on your favorite childhood tunes and singing until your voice disappears. The Yukon is home too many talented musicians who often head out to remote locations to brush up on their skills. Keep your ears tuned and you may just hear some other campfire comrades sharing their songs with you through the trees.

4. Sit out under the Stars

What better way to unwind then to sit out under the stars and enjoy natures nightly showings. If you visit the Yukon in late summer you may even be lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights as they dance across the sky. Driving outside city limits will guarantee you spectacular views free of light pollution and full of inspiration.

5. Catch the sunrise from the comfort of your rooftop tent.

Over the summer months the sun tends to rise at aprox. 4:30-5am in the Yukon. It may sound early but trust us it is worth the early rise if not just to roll over and catch the world lighting up from the comfort of your rooftop tent.

Let us know in the comments where you decided to take in the sunrise and what you do to relax!
